The study claims rich plant life was present 1.4 million years after the impact challanging the conventional assumption that it took 10 million years for Earth plant lfie to recover from the strike [A Tropical Rainforest in Colorado 1.4 Million Years After the Cretaceous-Tertiary Boundary. Kirk R. Johnson and Beth Ellis Science 2002 June 28; 296: 2379-2383].
