Timber operability
:
in a planning context, the term refers tothe economic suitability of timber for harvesting. Parameters to consider in assessingoperability include: terrain, timber quality, timber size, operating season, labour costs,development costs, and transportation costs. In the Environmental Protection Area program, operability refers to freedom fromharvesting constraints which include environmental protection and other forest uses.
