Ethanol: Slows the rate of absorption of propranolol. Phenytoin, phenobarbitone: and rifampin accelerate propranolol clearance. Chlorpromazine: When used concomitantly with propranolol, results in increased plasma levels of both drugs. Antipyrine: and lidocaine have reduced clearance when used concomitantly with propranolol.
